Founder & Chief executive officer
Matt founded Fairway Financial Services, Inc. in 1992 and has led Fairway’s investment team for more than 28 years. He began his career in real estate finance in 1986 after graduating from the University of California, Davis with a degree in economics. His extensive experience has provided him with wide-ranging exposure and deep expertise in a broad array of real estate asset classes, structured finance, distressed debt acquisition and disposition, and open- and closed-ended 506 Regulation D funds.
Matt is widely recognized as an expert in the specialized field of middle market real estate asset-based alternative investments and pooled investment funds. He has consulted, mentored, and advised hundreds of real estate entrepreneurs, fund managers, and sponsors around the United States and leveraged those relationships to originate, underwrite, and manage close to 1000 real estate asset-based deals for Fairway’s investment business. Matt authored the seminal book on capital raising for middle market real estate entrepreneurs, Capital Attraction.
Chief Operating Officer
Anindya joined Fairway America after over 17 years in KPMG’s India and Middle East offices. He plays a senior leadership role in setting and executing strategy for Fairway America’s foreign and international capital acquisition for syndications and managed accounts.
Anindya has 25+ years of experience negotiating, raising capital and bringing global and local companies together. As an industry thought leader, he has been interviewed and featured in publications and broadcasts with TIME, CNN, CNBC, BBC Financial Times, New York Times and International Herald Tribune.
Anindya holds a CGMA degree from CIMA (UK) and AICPA (USA), a CMA degree from CIMA (UK), an ACA degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and a bachelor’s degree with a major in economics from the prestigious Presidency College, Calcutta University in India.
Darris began his real estate career in commercial appraisal and mortgage backed security bonds before working in commercial real estate banking at HomeStreet Bank and Bank of the West. His earliest roles in real estate included loan closing, asset management, and loan origination.
During the housing boom, Darris was the CFO for a regional developer, overseeing the debt, equity, capital structures, and financial statements for numerous entities involved in land banking and development, home building, multifamily, condominiums and industrial assets. During the downturn following the housing boom, Darris formed his own investment vehicles, which he used to successfully capture opportunities that arose from the distressed single-family residential markets.
As a Partner at Fairway America, Darris brings a deep understanding of the U.S. real estate investment space both from a sponsor and investor perspective. He has cultivated an extensive network of sponsors, family offices and private investors. Darris obtained a degree in finance from Gonzaga University.
Chief Financial Officer
John joined Fairway after spending nearly two decades at Intel, where he managed a billion-dollar construction and tooling budget for a new manufacturing facility, led the financial planning and analysis activities for Intel’s largest division, and founded Intel Federal – a startup division dedicated to working with the US Federal Government on supercomputing leadership. John was also tapped to lead various councils for leadership development, training, and recruiting, and others.
As Fairway’s Chief Financial Officer, John is responsible for overall treasury functions, financial planning and analysis, and leading the investor relations team. John holds an MSM (MBA) in finance and marketing from Purdue University Krannert School of Management as well as a BA in English from Brigham Young University.
Jay is Fairway’s General Counsel and a partner of the firm. He has worked with Fairway’s management team for more than a decade and has more than 23 years of legal experience. Jay has a wide range of legal expertise, from contracting, corporate governance and securities, to litigation and employment law.
Before opening his own firm in 2008, which has provided dedicated, part-time general counsel services to growth-stage companies in various industries, Jay was General Counsel to one of Oregon’s successful private software companies. Before that, Jay was a litigation partner at Perkins Coie, the largest law firm in the Pacific Northwest. Jay joined Perkins Coie in 1997 after graduating from law school at the University of California, Berkeley. He also has a master’s degree in American political thought from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s degree in political science, philosophy, and film studies from Boston University.
Kellen has been with Fairway for over 12 years and has worked in both the marketing and sales divisions. As a business development leader, Kellen has been instrumental in identifying and advancing many of Fairway’s key strategic relationships with sponsors around the United States.
Kellen’s expertise lies in identifying specific areas where Fairway can provide value for each client and build effective, beneficial long-term relationships. He received his business management degree from Oregon Institute of Technology.
Barry is Fairway’s VP of Investments, leads real estate due diligence and valuation for the company’s investments, and is a voting member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Fairway, Barry spent 10 years at Integra Realty Resources as an appraiser and Director.
Barry holds an MBA from University of Denver and the two most advanced real estate appraisal designations, MAI (Member Appraisal Institute) and SRA (Senior Residential Appraiser), and is also a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member).
With her 25 years of progressive experience in real estate and underwriting, Angie completes due diligence on new investments and prospective sponsors and manages closings for new investments. She has been with Fairway since 1995 and is a voting member of Fairway’s Investment Committee.
Angie has been actively involved in every one of Fairway’s investments for the past two decades and is a seasoned underwriting professional. Angie studied at Southern Oregon State University.
Will oversees Fairway’s and its Funds’ portfolio of investments and provides leadership to a team of asset managers.
Will completed undergraduate studies in mathematics at University of Washington and received his graduate certificate in Commercial Real Estate Development and master’s degree from Portland State University.

Leading the marketing team at Fairway, Teri’s focus is building Fairway’s brand and strengthening its market position.
Teri has 20+ years’ experience in financial services and private capital investment marketing. She has held senior marketing management positions in Fortune 500 companies, including Vice President Marketing at Great Western Bank, GW Financial Securities, and Senior Director Marketing and Product Development at Blue Shield of California. Teri received her degree from University of California, Los Angeles.
Miranda joined Fairway America in 2018 and is Vice President, Investor Relations. She is responsible for raising capital for Fairway’s Funds VI, VII, VIIQP and Value-Add Self-Storage Fund, and is the primary contact for investment and Fund performance inquiries.
Miranda holds Series 63 and Series 7 licenses, and is a registered representative of North Capital, a FINRA-registered Broker/Dealer. A Southern California native, Miranda received her finance degree at Oregon State University.
Dan joined Verivest following his role leading the technology team responsible for the development of Marko, Verivest’s back office solution for investor onboarding, accounting and reporting. As a solution thought leader, Dan has led the execution of an expansion of Verivest services to include the “Verivest Verification” platform for industry transparency and building investor trust in the middle market.
With over 20 years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership, Dan has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies including Target, Disney, Ford and Lululemon.
Lance has been with Fairway America LLC since 2008 and has led the strategy and vision at Verivest since Fairway spun out the company (fka Redwood Real Estate Administration) in January 2017. He has been instrumental in the development of the back-office processes and systems that have enabled Verivest to administer over $1.6 billion (and growing) in investor capital.
Prior to joining Fairway, Lance co-founded and served as CEO of Convergence Networks, where he pioneered the Managed Services Provider (MSP) business model. Under his leadership they were recognized as one of the best places to work in Oregon and were ranked as the 16th fastest growing company in Oregon in 2004.
